Katja Macabre (Catch-a Ma-carb).

Solo artist from London, living in Brighton.

 

Katja Macabre has been writing and performing her own songs for many years and released her debut EP in November 2020. She has since taken some time away and returned to the fem-rock music scene with a new sound.

Her music is for those who don't feel like they have their own voice, to speak out for the ones who feel alone and to inspire people in difficult situations to rise up and take control of who they are.

Alyx Holcombe (Kerrang & BBC Radio 1) describes Macabre’s music as “a powerful message that feels like it’s smacking you in the face in the most enjoyable way possible”.
Her previous singles, Mother of God (2023), and Compliments (2022), excelled at challenging the patriarchy and social norms, whilst empowering women and members of the LGBTQ+ community all over the world.
